Deduce

Use this action to deduce the connection between two or more clues. This is a very powerful Action in the late game when you have many clues. If you deduce well, the narrator will dispense a useful insight - or otherwise reward you. For example, let's imagine you have a bloody boot-print, a silk handkerchief, and a fingerprint recovered from a shattered whisky glass. You can say to the Narrator: "I want to deduce any connection between these three clues." If you roll well (as determined by the Narrator) then the Narrator may say something like: "The fingerprint on the shattered whisky glass belongs to victim, so it was probably dropped when he was attacked. The boot-print and the handkerchief are both finely made and very expensive. You therefore deduce that the attacker must have been a person of great wealth."
